This is the walkthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty's You Know My Name, the seventh mission in the expansion. The Black Sapphire is the impenetrable fortress that Kurt Hansen calls home—this ninety-nine-story-high former luxury hotel is the palace where he can play King of Dogtown.

Guarded from top to bottom by the best equipped BARGHEST soldiers Hansen has in his hands, infiltrating the Black Sapphire is no easy task, but it is one you must do to rescue Songbird out of the clutches of one of Night City's most ruthless crime lord.

When ready to infiltrate the Black Sapphire, reach the objective marker and enter the flooded tunnels.

  • Be careful of explosive mines planted around the tunnels. You can disable them using your Technical Ability from a close distance.

Open the sewer gate and proceed down the tunnels. When you come out of the other side of the van, you'll come across a partially flooded room. The entrance to the other side of the tunnels is in the back of this room.

The objective will change to "Find a way to progress," at some point in the tunnels. In a room with a car platform, look for a ladder you can access by swimming through a small opening under the water.

  • Climb up and press the brake release button to lower the platform.
  • Get up on that same platform and press the other button to lower the second platform to access the vent.
  • Get through the vent and climb the first ladder until you reach the top. You'll need to jump to the second ladder to climb to the top.

Once you reach the warehouse (hostile area), you'll want to proceed with the mission through stealth and not alert a single enemy to achieve a positive response.

  • Fighting the enemy head-on will result in a negative outcome with Reed for future missions.

Inside the Black Sapphire

There is an exit vent you can immediately access if you have at least Level 15 in Technical Ability. This vent will make it easier to kill the guard above without alerting the other one below.

  • Plenty of disposal units are available from here on out to dump the bodies of enemies you've killed to avoid suspicions from patrolling guards.

Once you've removed the two guards, connect to the CCTV using the security computer. Cycle through the cameras and find Reed. He will be highlighted in yellow outlines.

Open the gate in front of Reed when looking through the camera by scanning it or pressing the appropriate button when prompted.

Before leaving, it is recommended to turn off the surveillance system by accessing the Local Network tab through the same computer.

When you're done accessing the computer, three guards will be on the level below you. Quickly get rid of them to access the elevator. Pick their bodies up for safety measures and throw them in any of the dumpsters next to you.

Take the elevator to the maintenance level, neutralize the sniper, and use his vantage point to keep an eye on Reed.

Again, you'll want to complete this objective through 100% stealth to achieve the mission's positive response.

  • The three potential threats you need to scan are the patrolling guards, the surveillance cameras, and the elevator shaft on the left side of the building.
  • You can also scan the sniper above the platforms further down to the left.
  • Next, scan the container bridge behind you to confirm the meeting spot. Before telling Reed to go, notify him of the nearby explosive mine.

To alert Reed of any immediate threats, simply scan them using your Kiroshi optics, or in the case of enemies, use the sniper to kill them when isolated.

The motion sensor after the first two guards needs to be disabled. Scan the power cables to identify the generator several floors above, then use the sniper to destroy it.

The next threat is the two guards sitting in the middle. Reed will remove the one behind the wall and give you a countdown when you need to kill the guard to the left.

However, if you use the nearby camera, you scan a safer path below, allowing Reed to move forward without killing any guards.

  • Halfway through, one of the guards will lean against the railing, making it impossible for Reed to progress. Don't use the sniper to kill him; shoot the stack of crates or the AC behind him to distract them both.
  • You can also use your Hacks to distract them through the cameras as well.

Once he makes it to the elevator shaft, wait until the three patrolling soldiers pass him and kill the sniper on the balcony before he spots Reed and alerts the rest of the guards.

There will be a section after the elevator platform where you won't see the guards blocking Reed's path. Cycle through the surveillance system until you access the camera above Reed. Tag the soldier behind the wall and use the sniper to shoot through him through it.

  • You can also remotely activate the speaker behind the guard to distract him.

Two BARGHEST Soldiers will come up from the service elevator near the container bridge and deal with them before they hear or spot Reed.

Once you clear the final pathway, you'll detach the Rasetsu Iconic Sniper from the mount and join Reed across the bridge.

You'll know that you completed the objective in 100% stealth when Reed praises your work when you finally rendezvous with him.

Take the elevator to the laundry room and equip the Stylish Suit in the bag.

  • There is a mirror nearby that you can use to change your facial expression if you like.

Attending the Party

After changing into the suit, follow the objective marker to the party's central floor.

You can join Reed at the bar or survey the room using your Kiroshi optics to scan the many VIP guests here, including Deputy Mayor Weldon Holt, the NCPD Commissioner, Reverend Colver, mobsters, and Kurt Hansen himself.

You can also find Mr. Hands upstairs. After talking to him, he will send you a text that varies depending on your approach when infiltrating inside.

  • If you managed to go 100% stealth, he would say that Hansen and the BARGHEST appear unaware of the security breach.

After talking to Reed by the bar, you'll shortly receive a text from Songbird to look up to the mezzanine above you. The conversation with Songbird will lead to the fact she's dying from the Blackwall and that Hansen has the cure.

  • Midway through the conversation, Hansen will show up. It's best to shake his hand here to avoid further suspicion.

Once they all leave, you can speak to Songbird via the Relic again. She'll inform you that Hansen has a tech he found beneath Dogtown that can access the neural matrix—the cure for both her and V.

You'll need to find the two runners she mentioned somewhere inside the Black Sapphire. Speak to Reed at the bar at the end of the hallway. He suspects Songbird made a deal with Hansen to access the secret tech in exchange for a hit on the NUSA President.

Inform Reed about Songbird's plan by sharing the data shard she gave you earlier.

Netrunner Twins

The redhead twins you need to impersonate are behind Reed playing roulette.

  • Alex will transfer 80,000 Eddies to buy some chips, but you can purchase more for a max of 100,000 Eddies.
  • Go to the other side of the table and join the game, betting on either red or black.

Reed will go MIA, so you'll have to scan both independently.

Avoid being too forward with your responses; try to keep things down the middle. Once you get Aurore to above 80% calibration, you'll need to get on her brother's good side by agreeing with him; this will cause him to warm up and start chatting.

Here is the correct order we chose to obtain both 100% scans and the entire winning pot:

  1. Join game | Feelin' lucky about black.
  2. How's it going?
  3. Buy drinks | What's your poison?
  4. Same as the lady.
  5. Bet on red.
  6. Conscience ain't spotless, that's sure.
  7. Bet on black | Didn't mean to break your flow.
  8. Bet on black | You're unique, stick out from the crowd.
  9. Bet on red.
  10. Psychoanalysis - hobby of yours?
  11. Can't say I know him all that well.
  12. Bet on black.
  13. Charmin' little show.
  14. Bet on red.
  15. Owning Dogtown's one helluva bargaining tool.
  16. Bet on red | Can tell you got somethin' on the tip of your tongue.
  17. Have a taste for risk?
  18. All or nothin' - whaddaya say?
  19. Professional thief.
  20. Black.

Hansen will confront you at the table shortly after the roulette game. He will offer you a chance to leave the building without casualties. He also reveals that Songbird came to him willingly, proving that Reed's theory about her was correct.

  • Before leaving, cash out your wins at the booth first.
  • If you've done Lizzy Wizzy's sidequests beforehand, you'll have extra dialogues when talking to her by the bar on the way out—she'll also give you her Amiki Sound Cutter Iconic BD headset.

Get in the elevator and get to the lobby; a BARGHEST soldier will escort you and Reed out of the Black Sapphire. Once outside, talk to Reed to finish the quest.

The following quest, Birds With Broken Wings, will start when Reed calls you after one day.

  • Both Songbird and Alex will text you after the mission is complete. The latter will also leave you the BD from Lizzy Wizzy's Black Sapphire Show in your Megabuilding H10 apartment in Watson.
