"Half CA doesn't deserve respect from Full CA"This comment was so pathetic & sad. But it got me to thinking why are degrees considered to be so important in defining someone's worth??I am proud to be a Half CAI am happy that I am doing it group wise because it is a legitimate option given by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.Does it give someone who has the label right to belittle me??And why does a degree define my worth???I am much more than just a degreeI am a human.I am a Content creator.I am a Pastry & Culinary chef.I am a freelance consultant.I try to learn something new everyday and just recently I became the Campus ambassador for Nykaa beauty.-Clients still approach me for GST & Income tax related matters. In short, I am skilledI am Radhika I don't need a prefix or a suffix to define my worth♥️I got invited by IIM Bangalore tech fest because I added value in the life of people who are much more "qualified" & "experienced" than me.I GET RESPECT BECAUSE OF THE DIFFERENCE I CREATE IN THE LIVES OF PEOPLE AROUND ME♥️I am not qualified yet,But my handwritten summary notes have been used by my Seniors who are qualified Chartered Accountants & working in B4'sQuoting Rupi kaur,"No one is qualified to decide your worthYou wake up and live your life everyday God's opinion of you is the only thing that matters♥️"#degrees #caaspirants #halfCA #influencer #linkedinforcreators

Your message eligantly highlights that a degree doesn't define one's worth. Your accomplishments, skills, and the positive impact you make in people's lives speak volumes about your true value. Keep shining as a content creator, pastry chef, consultant, and all the incredible roles you play. Your invitation to IIM Bangalore's tech fest is a testament to your impact, and your dedication to learning and sharing knowledge is commendable. ✨️keep shining like this Radhika Agarwal 💫

Beautifully written!🙌I have always perceived that degree and qualification is all that matters. It's only after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, I realised that happiness and self satisfaction is all that matters.❤️It is amazing that you have realised your worth and proud of what you are doing. Truly, any prefix or suffix do not define a person.✌️Keep growing and glowing girl!💪🙌

Back in early 2000s, when the Internet was making its early entries towards the common man, access to information wasnt so easy. As a student, you didn't had a Google to ask whatever you wanted to know. Making career plans was more guided by your family and the social circle you lived in. If your family had more of doctors, there was a higher probability you would end up being a doctor since that was the best available field specific information you had access to.For me, being from a first generation marwari business family who had migrated to Mumbai from an agricultural background, being a CA was an aspiration since in Rajasthani community CA as a profession was considered to be quite valuable. But since there was no CA within my inner social circle, I had no idea and knowledge about the process for enrolment, the articleship thing and so on. Bss CA karna hai :)Had little knowledge about there being a separate body called ICAI who conducts exams and regulated the CA profession, I ended up at Mumbai University campus in Churchgate to enrol for the same. It was there they guided me to go to ICAI and this the beautiful journey began for me....Post qualification, had an opportunity to work with Big 4s but there was always an inner instinct to establish an entity of my own and thus started with my own practice in the first year after qualification itself.Setting up a firm with no prior experience by any family member or so, was though adventurous but quite interesting for me. Although initial years were tough in terms of client acquisition, delivering, billing, expanding team, managing office infrastructure, etc it taught me a lot about being a self made man.As a practitioner, I had no fancy laptops, fancy desk, fancy office space or a welcome kit from my employer I could share on my LinkedIn! But gradually the journey has been a beautiful lesson. As a practicing CA what I like the most is that you have new challenges and new things to learn, unlearn everyday. You got to be your CEO, your HR manager, your IT manager, Treasury head, Sales guy, Marketing guy, everything. This has truly been an amazing journey of more than a decade so far....Do share your stories too, will love to hear it.#ca #charteredaccountant #practicemanagement #professionaldevelopment #professionaljourney #professionalgrowth

ICAI ka diya sab kuch hai - stress, anxiety, depression, articleship ka challenging experience, aur ab toh degree bhi hai! Sirf ek cheez reh gayi hai - job nahi mili ab tak! 😜Jokes apart, I understand the struggles that come with the post-qualification job search. It can be a rollercoaster of emotions. But hey, I genuinely hope and pray that your CV finds its way into the hands of the right hiring manager, HR personnel, or recruiter. May God and ICAI work their magic to grant me a favor in the application process.🌟#icai#ca#charteredaccountant#exams#cafinalist#mindset #cafreshers

Job profiles you can get right after completing your CA:1. Consulting - Management Consulting, Tech Consulting (related to SAP and financial transformation) 2. Investment Banking - Mid-office roles in firms like JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Ambit3. Equity Research - JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, UBS, Motilal Oswal4. Industry Roles - Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Reporting, Tax, etc. You can consider working in these roles at companies like HUL, Mahindra, Vedanta, etc.5. CA Firm Roles - Audit, Tax, FDD, Risk Consulting etc., at Big 4 or top CA firms in IndiaThe above description is quite a high level as it is not possible to cover the details here. You should research and read about each of them in detail to understand the nature of the job. If we compare these jobs on different parameters:- Compensation - highest in investment banking after consulting followed by Industry, equity research and Big 4- Working hours - Investment Banking / Equity Research > Consulting > CA firms > Industry - Learning curve - This is very subjective but in general the learning curve is quite steep in IB and consulting as compared to others. The first three profiles are often dominated by IITians and IIM graduates that CAs don't get hands-on with them until you have a rank with a Big 4 articleship or have done industrial training with the same company with some additional spikes in your CV.Nonetheless, you should apply, as you never know—one spike in your CV can change things even if it’s not academic. At the same time, keep realistic expectations.Irrespective of what you choose, make sure that you are learning. In the beginning, money is not that important. If you gain skills, you can leverage them in the future to earn 10x.#job #profile

ICAI Campus of Major Centers have almost concluded. What's the result you ask?According to a survey that we conducted, the majority of participants either→ Didn't get the desired companyor→ Didn't get the desired profile/role.And there are many problems like, given interviews but no response from HR, companies rejected even before taking the interview, to name a few.But that's what not I want to talk about here.I understand that many participants are not satisfied with the Placement Season this year.We want to get to the root of this issue and help as many CAs/CA Aspirants/Graduates as possible in getting the job they deserve. That's why we're organizing a "Special Webinar for Finance Professionals" (Fresher CAs, CA Articleship Seekers, Other Finance Graduates)In this session, we'll 🔹 dive deep into the challenges faced by job-seekers, 🔹 help them explore opportunities beyond campus, and 🔹 strategize the best ways to approach and impress top-tier firms.Take out a moment, and fill the form available in the comments to receive invitation for the "SPECIAL WEBINAR for CAs & CA Articles"Together, let's turn this challenge into an opportunity.
