So far I've tried Tomb of the Lost Queen, Deadly Device, Ghost of Thornton Hall, and Labyrinth of Lies. The first three worked perfectly, however Labyrinth keeps crashing randomly so I am going to try someone else's upload on here and see if that works!

But other than that one, the first three were seamless installing and playing, and I'm really grateful you took the time to upload all these! I bought a few of the cheaper games on Steam but the newer ones are 22 CAD + tax each, which really adds up T.T Thanks again!!

All the games worked for me. (Except MID, which I bought, and SCK, which I only played the Remastered version of.) These installs can be a little confusing if you aren't used to them, so here's a few quick tips and tricks if you're having issues:

- Ensure you install all games as an admin: left-click the setup.exe file and navigate to "Run as administrator". Allow permissions and then continue the install as normal.

- Opt out of the DirectX installs. You can install DirectX yourself from the microsoft website if you don't already have it. The version included with these games is outdated anyway. Installing the DirectX End-User Runtime has a bunch of the legacy versions that will ensure your games work with just the one DirectX download/install.

- If the game still doesn't work after installing as an admin, try left-clicking the Game.exe file and clicking "Properties". Go to "Compatibility" and change the Compatibility mode to run the program in an older version of Windows. If you're running Windows 10 or 11, try working backwards until you find a version that works. The majority of these games were made with Windows 7 in mind, but SCK in particular needs to run on Windows XP or 98. This is also how I got STFD to work, but there's a guide below by katiekat823 posted Dec 19 2022 that may be helpful if your game doesn't work.

- If the file appears as a .iso, or gives an error message of some variation of "disk image corrupted", use a disk imaging program like PowerISO or AnyBurn to extract the files. This was mentioned by WarrenHall and BlackPhantom745 previously.

- If the file appears as a .bin WITHOUT a setup.exe file, you'll also need a disk imaging program. Extract the files and install as normal. If there is a setup.exe file, it will extract the files itself as part of the setup. If the file gives two .bin files that need to be extracted, the data files in the second file (marked "b" or "2", as opposed to "a" or "1") can normally be placed in the same folder. If merging "a" and "b" together doesn't work, extract the files again and keep them separate, navigating to where the files from the second disk are located when prompted by the install wizard.

- If you need to replace the Game.exe file with a cracked version (as noted and provided within), the instructions might be incomplete. If there are files marked as both "CDAudio" and "HDAudio": You must move all the files from "CDAudio" to "HDAudio" in your program files. Same with "CDVideo" and "HDVideo". Move the files from "CDVideo" to "HDVideo". You can delete the "CDAudio" and "CDVideo" folders after this; they're no longer needed.

- I've found that TRN, DAN, CRE, and ICE only work on my device if I launch them directly from their executable in my program files. Using a shortcut to do this does not work. If you're using a desktop shortcut or similar to launch the game and you're having issues, try left-clicking, selecting "Open file location" and running the Game.exe file from the folder that opens. If that doesn't work, try using admin priviledges to run the game. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling. STFD only works for me if I run the game as an admin.

- If you clean out your downloads folder and the game no longer works (will appear as a "please enter disk" message), or you're looking to play these without having to mount an imaginary CD every time, try this: Create a folder in your program files labelled as the game, drag the install files there, delete the folder in your downloads (delete it from your trash/recycling bin too), and then run the install from the executable already in your program files. Save the game within a subfolder inside the folder you used for the install. This should work, and it keeps all your game files in the same place, so you don't have to worry about accidentally cleaning out your downloads folder.

For the moment I've tried 02, 03, 06, 07, 28 and they work. I've had some issues installing them but the other reviews helped me.

I'm currently trying to run 04 (Message in a haunted mansion) but their is no .iso file so I don't see how I can run the game. There is a .img file but it say that it is damaged. To be followed if the issue is fixed.

I mounted everything, and I tried to install, but nothing seemed to pop up. I could see in my Task Manager that the installation program was being recognized, but the program wasn't actually showing up. I don't really know what to do.

EDIT (12-19-22): I WAS ABLE TO INSTALL IT!
Here's how I did it.
1. Download the STFD zip file and extract it to your desktop/documents/etc. Mount the ISO file in the folder. Once mounted, go into the folder, and you should see a bunch of game files.
2. Click on Setup.EXE, nothing will happen but don't worry.
3. Go into your Task Manager. You should see the game installer at the top of your Background Processes. Go to the Details tab. You should see Setup.EXE in the list. Right click, and select "Analyze Wait Chain." A pop up should appear.
4. There is a list tree with Setup.EXE at the top and there should be another item listed beneath it (most likely a graphics card thing). Check that item, and then hit end process. Most likely the installer should immediately run. But if it doesn't just go back to the mounted file and select Setup.EXE again.
5. Click through the installation process like normal. But stop when you get to the Destination Folder.
6. In your Documents, create a new folder and label it "STFD" or something you can recognize as the game. Copy the file path.
7. Back in the installer, click Browse, and paste the file path at the top. Hit okay, and continue with the installation.
8. When you get to the DirectX page, select No, and continue. The game should install and go to your desktop. You can run the game immediately after installation or just wait.

I recommend running the game with Compatibility settings for Windows 98 and run it as an Admin. For resolution, you might have to rescale your monitor in the Windows settings. My PC wasn't able to get it to the original resolution, so everything was stretched a bit. But I really did not care as I was just glad to get the game running.
